NIH MBRS RISE

Objective


The National Institutes of Health Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) Research Initiativefor Scientific Enhancement (RISE) Internship at Savannah State University provides minority students, who are traditionally underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral sciences, paid internships doing active research. The program will prepare them to be admitted and successfully complete Ph. D. programs at top-tier institutions. RISE interns must be majoring in behavior analysis, biology, chemistry, forensic science or marine science with a minimum 3.00 GPA and have a sincere interest in a biomedical career.  In addition, the program will aid in faculty professional development, curricula enhancement for all STEM majors and allow outreach to the community.
